It might sound absurd, but I’m just throwing it out there, but Serie A referees seem so much more in control of matches. The continent seems to have less of a feeling of adults (players) yelling at children (referees).

Are the standards any better? Maybe not, but in my experience there seems to be less condescension from referees outside of England. In England it’s week after week of Manchester born white referees smiling at players and just happy to be part of the boys club.

As for the actual football, there’s time, but if Arsenal don’t turn it around they’ll be fighting for top four more than they should need to be. (Some day I’ll go more in depth regarding how they’re a shining example of just how long it can take to rebuild a side and how they’re an example of how it will take Man United a few years longer than they think is realistic to be actual contenders).

Do we really have to bring up the "white" part every time? Lol. I get that it's easy and seemingly harmless to do, but damn. "English" is enough.

When the people who control who is ultimately assigned to be high-level referees are on record with blatant racism, yes. They are working to fix this but have a long way to go. So yeah, they deserve to be called out on it.

Yeah literally there is pretty blatantly visible racism through the entire process of becoming a top level referee. It definitely should be called out.

Also it’s always morally acceptable to make fun of white people.

Afaik Spanish refereeing is about as bad as England, but Italy and Germany seem to be ahead of the pack for sure.

Timo Werner on loan to Spurs for the rest of the season with a pretty low fee for a permanent deal in the summer.

Tottenham made Timo spout the "I've joined a big club" line.
