And that is absolutely great. He is over his sophomore slump it seems but I won't go too far this early in the season. Hedican with three points is nice, one of the best skaters in the NHL.

Canes are slooooopppyyyy in this 1st period vs Montreal. Can't get possession of the puck, silly penalties, not identifying the open skater, & even scoring in their own net.

5-1 right now.

Hopefully, Erik Cole is all right. He was taken out on a stretcher after slamming head 1st in to the goalie. They say he was walking w/out a brace. So that's good news.

Ward has been inconsistent in goal of late. He can go from shaky to stonewall w/in periods it seems.

But the Canes remain solid. 2nd most points in the East.

Canes got a much needed 4-3 win over TB. This team is not the same as when they started the year. they aren't flying all over the ice & the goaltending has been poor @ best. Erik Stahl is the only player that seems to be playing top notch right now from the opening period.

They really needed that win. Things weren't looking good down 3-1 entering the third, but the pulled it out.

Some comeback last night vs the Leafs. This team is so schizo. They are going to start calling Cane fans the "Cardiacs" instead of Caniacs.

Yeah, it's bad for my health. I just want the playoffs so damn bad.

Re: Canes' Corner - Carolina Hurricanes Thread

Canes set John Grahmme to the minors & called up Michael Leighton, who made his debut tonight. Wasn't impressed. Looked like he had lost where the puck was a number of times. Net play & the kill is going to kill the Canes.

Casey Borer got his 1st career goal to tie it. Then Stillman won it in the 3rd.

Canes up & down play doesn't just go game-to-game. Its within the game, sometimes periods.
