Quite honestly it doesn't matter anymore. My man has two lombardi trophys. He's only 31 years old and he's the king of New York. I'm fine with whatever nonsense people come up with to discredit him. Many QBs in the postseason did their part to win their games. Brady(his WR couldn't catch in the clutch), Rodgers(same thing but he was a little off his usual game and no D), Flacco(played better then anyone expected), Stafford(he did well until the end of the game, but no D), Brees(statistically he was on pace for a record postseason, but no D),etc.

It goes on and on, Eli performed with the top QBs but the difference was the rest of his teammates stepped up. Which is why when people start to use rings to separate players I find that to be stupid as it takes a full 53 man active roster to win a game

Also in no way was I dissing Eli if anyone sees it that way lol, as i've said before he's up there in the list of top QBs.

Let's be real here - you don't want to give him any credit. We get it. He still has two Super Bowl rings, had one of the greatest runs of any QB in regards to the amount of 4th quarter comebacks completed in a season, had an incredible year overall statistically and took a team that most had written off mid-season to a Super Bowl championship while beating a team with a future hall of fame QB for a second time.

He said Eli is in the class of qb thy needs the right cast of characters around him to win the Superbowl. While Aaron, Tom, and Drew are above that; plug them anywhere and they can win one.

What qb doesn't need the right pieces around him?

Then he went on to say Eli's pieces stepped up while those three qb's teammates did not. Which is why Eli won and they didn't. Is that a broken argument or what?

This is last time I respond in the thread, I'm not explaining my position anymore.

I say I don't think Eli's performance was very impressive and people act like I called him a scrub. I think he's good, just not amazing. If I were listing my top qbs of all time right now, he would be in a class with guys like Rich Gannon, Boomer Esiason, Vinny Testeverde and Phil Simms. Very good quarterbacks, but not in league with Montana, Marino, Brady, or Peyton Manning.

If you think that's disrespecting Eli and calling him a scrub, fine. I've seen every playoff game he has been in and that's the impression he's left on me right now. It is what is, sorry Giants fans. I still think you have a hell of a team overall tho.

I never said anything about Eli needing the right cast to win a game while the other don't need one. Everyone needs the right cast of players to win a SB.

Unless you're talking about someone else then carry on lol.
