Here Is The Latest News...on Griese.

Hello Everyone..... I know everyone around here is waiting to hear what is going on.....

First of All..... The Broncos did not release Griese officially until very late in the afternoon....and the Dolphins could not talk contract with Cindrich..until later than they had hoped....but they did talk for over 2 hours....but Cindrich said that negotiations will have to resume back tomorrow morning.

The Dolphins and Cindrich want different contract scenarios....thus far. The Dolphins want to sign Griese to a 2 year deal....but it appears that Cindrich would like to keep Griese's options open after this season....meaning a 1 year deal...which he has been pretty consistent with...

The Dolphins were also a bit surprised today with Cindrich putting together a bunch of incentives that the Dolphins in some cases did not like...in that 1 year deal.

Cindrich is going to come back to the table though....with what the Dolphins hope would be a proposal for a two year deal....as the DOlphins said that they would be willing to give Griese a signing bonus....in a 2 year package.

In essence.....a late start... where the two sides met....but there was just not enough time to get anything done today... There is no way Griese will be in Miami tommorrow...as he is not even in town.

Also.....the Dolphins also are in a very strong negotiation stance with Cindrich....as there was not the interest from the Seahawks or anyone else....for Cindrich to stop what he was doing with the Dolphins today. It appears that this deal will just take some more time.... the Dolphins had hoped for a quick deal...so Griese could have started tommorrow with the Qb school.....but this most likely will not happen now....as you can figure tommorrow or the next day they would agree to something....then you have the fanfare of the press confererence....and now your probably at Thursday's last practice anyway....

I don't see anything but this deal getting done....its inevitable....but again....is it going to be a 1 year deal....or the two year deal? That is the question right now..... the two sides will resume tommorrow morning....and hopefully...it gets done.

Actually, Jay Fiedler is the starter and Griese is only being brought in to be the backup. Their is no controversy........ except in the fan's and media's eyes.

If he signs with Dallas then he's cool. If he signs with any other team then he's a bum.

says who???? How do you know this?? They are bringing Griese in for a reason...there are plenty other guys they could have brought in as a backup.

Great news DirtyCash, hopefully we will get it done ASAP. And I doubt he is going to Dallas I heard on WQAM 560 (radio station in Miami) that Bill Parcells said "I am not interested in Brian Griese, he is no better than an 8-8 QB." So that pretty much leaves Miami alone in the running.

Yeah Griese will be the starter there on and off and there'll be QB controversey galore......you watch if he signs there that'll be the case right away even.....lotsa ppl calling for Griese to start over Fiedler..... stupid dolphins...

i'm pretty sure it's been said that he's been brought in as a backup and will have to earn the starting spot
