Re: NFL Super Wild Card Weekend Discussion Thread

People are going to be very mad at MIA/KC being exclusively on Peacock on Saturday night.

Glad Buffalo will be done by mid afternoon on Sunday, hopefully with a victory. We’re the last AFC team to play so hopefully we don’t look past PIT if we know KC is coming to town the next week. We should handle the Steelers but never put it past Pittsburgh to find a way to grind one out. We’ve had some big wins against PIT over the last few years but they also clipped us Week 1 last year or year before. Let’s keep our foot on the gas and keep playing like we gotta win em all because now we actually have to.

My favorite matchup is CLE/HOU. I love what both teams have been able to do this year with so much adversity (injuries, changing culture, etc) and if they didn’t meet in round 1 I would’ve pegged both as having a good shot at making some noise in the playoff picture.

My gut at the beginning of the tournament says we’re headed toward an all AFC North AFCCG, Cleveland at Baltimore. That division battled all year and ended up all over .500. But man, if it’s not that, I gotta say it’s set up well for a Bills run. Going in to BAL doesn’t scare me like some other places, KC, CLE or HOU coming to town is as ideal as you could ask for. No Bengals to crash our party. Time to go.

I wish we could go back to the 3 games on Saturday and 3 on Sunday format. That was the perfect weekend of football

Re: NFL Super Wild Card Weekend Discussion Thread

If it were on NBC, the Saturday night game would be a no-brainer for me. But just on principle, I'm not paying more to watch that game (probably would have ignored my principles if the Niners were playing on Peacock though).

I guess I'm just getting old, but I'm getting tired of being squeezed for every last nickel by these ultra-rich leagues. If you can afford to pay Daniel Jones $40M a year, you can afford to let me watch playoff games for "free" on YTTV.

If I was El Presidente, no game that was played in a publicly funded stadium could be relegated to a string service. I think Arrowhead might be old enough to escape that rule, but I stand behind it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if in the next few days we see an announcement that the game will also be on NBC because the NFL cares about its fans and values their feedback. They seem to have really kicked the hornet’s nest with this latest money grab

Maybe one day someone can explain to me why any stadium/ball park/arena is publicly funded. Ohhhh..... maybe these are non-profit leagues. My bad.
