Yes.

The Steelers are expected to pay him the veteran minimum of $1.21M, and the Broncos will pay him the remaining $37.79M of the total of $39M that he is due this season.

Wilson's expected cap charge of $1.21M will, in real time, only cause the Steelers cap to rise by $415,000 due to the Rule of 51 that is in play this time of year.

It's a very unique situation. I wouldn't want to break the salary cap for Wilson, but at the price that he can be had, it is a no-brainer.

I suppose a "thank you" is due to the Broncos.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins has requested a trade, per Adam Schefter.

Another reason why I wouldn’t mind the Falcons going after him also(if they were interested). The financial risk was always going to be low.

No kidding it's an offensive league, I wasn't the one who said they were "elite", this defense was NOT elite.

They were a middle of the road defense, that's it, certainly not elite.

Legion of Boom?? I'm asking to see this "elite" defense you claim the Steelers to have.

Hype, yes. But not to the level of the 83 class.

They were supposedly close on a restructure. I'll be shocked if Jones isn't a 49er again this upcoming season. Love Armstead, but Jones is probably a better fit next to Hargrave at this point.

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread

That class definitely got talked up at the time, especially in comparison to other classes.

Still feel like there’s time for Lawrence though.

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread

I'm hoping the Eagles rumors about Saquon Barkley are BS. I'd rather resign Swift or draft a RB between 3rd-5th round, then to pay a RB honestly. Eagles has never shown that they want to establish the run to want to go after a guy like Barkley

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread

I felt he was underutilized last year for the Eagles. But, should warrant a comp pick next year
