I think it has to do with the rejection of the McDaniels regime in full. He's considered a part of that. It is kind of weird. They would rather have a literal placeholder at QB than Jimmy G out there potentially throwing INTs.

A win is a win, but Eagles have to step it up. This should've been a blowout victory if not for gifting them 15 points off turnovers. 11-4, but could've easily been 8-7 if not for some blunders by the Chiefs, Cowboys, and Bills. Heck could've lost one of the Washington games.

But, they still control destiny with the division if they beat Arizona and Giants. Also have chance of #1 seed if 49ers lose 2 of 3 last games. Ideally if they get Slay, Dickerson, Maddox, and health at LB before playoffs, they should be better. All those guys are slated to return before playoffs
