Re: Week 9 Discussion Thread

This basically ends the DJ era in NY. I'd expect a tank and a top 2 pick.

Is it the end of the Daboll era?

Re: Week 9 Discussion Thread

Just looked at the Standings. The Bengals are in last place?
WTF?

Everyone in the AFC North is 5-3 or better.

I don’t think so.

I’m local here and I think Giants ownership will be a little more patient and give Schoen/Daboll era a shot to get their guy.

They’ve fired McAdoo, Shurmur and Judge during or after year 2 which is ‘not Giant’ like.

Re: Week 9 Discussion Thread

It's going to get even uglier in New York. Devito is the starter
Matt Barkley is the back up. It would not surprise me if Barkley
starts next week. He has only been with the team since Oct 31st.

Re: Week 9 Discussion Thread

That sack on Herbert...if that's Brady, Rodgers, etc, we'd be talking about assault charges.

Very down on the team. It’s still a good team and probably makes the playoffs but the injuries and inconsistency have really made another SB or bust season seem like a bust half through. We’ve been a good second half season team last few years so hopefully they can pick up the pieces, schedule is pretty brutal though. Major missed opportunity last night.
The only think keeping me from drinking into a stupor is that this time in 2021 we'd just gotten our asses whipped by the Colts and fell to 7-6 after that chaotic loss to Tampa Bay, then suddenly went hyperspeed into the playoffs.

The best case scenario IMO is that they just cut Allen loose on the field and we steal three games from the Jets/Philly/KC/Dallas/Los Angeles gauntlet, beat up on Miami's backups in the final week to slip in as a wildcard, and hopefully get back Daquon Jones and Von Miller before the playoffs. At least go out fighting.
