Even if there was no bubble ring at all they were first in the West and favorites to come out of the West before the bubble even happened. So I’d say there is a bit more there than just the bubble, but injuries and then just everything about this season have been a huge issue.

But yeah regardless they have a lot of cleaning up to do this off-season. And health was a concern the moment they made the move to bring over AD.
By sometime, I mean before Lebron got there.

On the floor and in Management.

Everything don’t need to be “Well actually…” .man, lol

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread

Rumors stating Quinn Snyder no longer interested in the Lakers job b/c of how they handled the Vogel situation.

Can't blame him or any high profile coach for not wanting to deal with the Lakers FO drama.

In hindsight it looks really bad that they blew up their championship team formula. Vogel is a defensive coach and they slowly traded away all of their defensive players.

What a ride it's been though, eh?

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread

Pelinka needs to go immediately. Westbrook has to go too because he isn't a good fit next to Bron go figure . Why did anybody in the front office think pairing another ball dominant player without a consistent jump shot was a good idea to begin with is beyond me. We basically had Westbrook on the roster already in Rondo albeit older but a better decision maker and shooter.

While we're at it might as well start seeing what we can get for Mr.Street clothes because we know Mr.Jump ship will be gone after next season.

All in all I feel for Vogel, front office scapegoated him big time. Gave him **** to cook with and expected Michelin star quality on the court.

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread

FWIW here is the 6 "realistic" bleacher report trades for Westbrook

OKC = Favors and Muscala with a 31 million trade exception for a 27 and 29 1st

IND = with Nunn for Hield and Brogdon

CHA = Hayward

HOU = Gordon, Wood and Nwaba with Hou getting a pick

DET = Some dream about somehow getting Grant

NYN = some of the bad salaries with Fournier being in the deal
