Yugoslavia won because the ref didn't call that foul at the end of regulation. That was a clear foul.

Totally agree. Now, we have to here Divac brag about it all year long.

But someone needs to tell him which is more important:
A gold medal or a NBA championship?

You forget, to international players, a gold medal is more important than an NBA championship. Just like American players would rather win a world cup in soccer than to win the English Premier League or any of the other club championships.

Maybe to him it's the Gold Medal.
And it wouldn't bother me at all if it was.

That is true. International players do care about a gold medal, because they don't have a NBA in their respected countries. It means more to them.

As for Divac, I was making a joke, because he's the one to complain about everything.

Frankly, it would have been great if the US players (the ones who declined the invite) would have cherished the gold medal at least as much as an NBA title.

Yup, couldn't agree more. Hopefully this turn out of the USA team wakens up the NBA. We should have the "best" of the NBA out there.

i didn't watch the whole game, but u definitely gotta love big men who actually understand interior passing and who can shoot a shot outside of 5 feet. and team ball is just so much more entertaining then the devolution, err... nba... that game was louder than any of the ones i heard when the US was playing. sure it was the championships, but yugoslavia and argentina getting more support here than us is still pretty sad.
