Something wrong with this picture.

Are there any special rules for Jordan that I'm not aware of?

Re: Something wrong with this picture?

The "Jordan Rules" was a name conjeured up by Detroit Piston's head coach Chuck Daley(and later the title of a book chronicling the 90-91 season of the bulls). It was a philosophy on how to stop Michael Jordan and the Bulls. The premise was basically beat the crap out of Jordan with double and triple teams because his teammates at the time(1984 -1990) weren't capable of stepping up.

Then people started using it(bastardizing it, really) to say that Jordan gets away with a lot of things such as traveling and gets fouls called against his opponents when he misses).

Sure he got some favortism as all stars do, but not the degree that people who sued the bastardized phrase "The Jordan Rules" would lead you to believe.

So in the picture, Jordan is clearly out of bounds. It doesn't look like it is being called as such so it would stand to reason that if it wasn't called out of bounds Jordan is receiving favoritism in the game. Hence the caption referring to the bastardized version of "The Jordan Rules".

Basically it is a joke by IGN.

I first wondered about that picutre too. But when I saw "Jordan Rules still in Effect", I laughed and knew they were making a joke.

Don't know if they are making a joke... I mean it IS EA Sports here. If it was Sega we would know for sure they were making a joke. Can't give EA the benefit of a doubt.
