I guess the Reaves timeout play was the correct call after all. Ball was pinned against his left leg which does constitute control and possession.

Regardless after watching the replay I didn’t even realize the ball went out of bounds lol. So most likely if the call wasn’t made the ball goes out of bounds and the Lakers have 2 timeouts with less time remaining than they did after being granted the timeout to begin with.

Allen saves the ball from going out of bounds. Regardless it was a very close call and the NBA said afterwards it was the right one.
