They were on another level from outside. 14-25 from 3.
Yea that was pretty much the backbreaker. If the U.S hit the boards though they probably win regardless. Got killed there. And that could be the weakness.

They will have to add some legit bigs for the Olympics. Would of liked to seen more minutes in this one for Kessler honestly. Couple of loose balls went lithuanias way here and there. But that's how it goes.

Ant's development has been insane though. This dude gets after it on defense and is the clear cut leader.

Can't wait to see if Canada can get a full squad for the Olympics.

If you get SGA,RJ,Wiggins,Murray,Brooks all on that team, they'd have a shot at a medal.

Kerr probably needs to play more of a traditional 2 - big line up with either Portis/Kessler or Kessler/Jackson Jr. The only issue is that Jaren is a notoriously poor defensive rebounder for a near 7 footer.

Agree I thought Walker should of at least got a few extra minutes. He proved himself in the last game in my opinion.

I totally forgot about Wiggins. But yes I figure Team A will be much better.

I like the idea here. But I don't think that solves the problem. I don't think they will get more rebounds with this roster. The only rebounder on the roster is Hart. But he's too small vs such a post up bigs lineup.

Should be interesting what Kerr does if they face them again. Italy is a solid shooting team. So US has to be on their defensive game.

Portis was top 10 in defensive rebound percentage and Kessler was top 5 for offensive. Obviously, some of that is due to their teammates in Milwaukee and Utah.

Still, Kerr has some rebounders, the problem is you'd need to bench Paolo to really utilize them together. Kerr is gonna need to make that tough decision if they face Lithuania again.

Yea it's a bit ridiculous that Josh Hart is the leading rebounder on this team.

Yep and obviously this isn't the Olympics roster. But they gotta get a few 7 footers on board I love JJJ on the defensive side, but like you said.

He doesn't board enough. I like Portis too. He gives all he has. But if we put this out against Joker or Embiid. It's a huge mismatch. And they couldn't even board with Valancunias and some guy I've never heard of.

Lithuania shot out their ***. But they also really exploited the mismatches. I love Reaves but he was getting abused in post mismatches.

Re: FIBA World Cup 2022

To be fair though JV was probably the best rebounder in the league this past year. That’s going to be a different animal than potential matching up with Embiid and maybe Jokic too. Not that Embiid isn’t much better, but good teams best players aren’t putting up 30 a night in international play. I feel much more confident in JJJ & Kessler defending Joel than I do them keeping JV or his teammates off the glass.

Bad start from the US and some lights out shooting had a huge impact in this one. Bridges didn’t look quite ready for that last shot, but otherwise nearly had a great chance at a comeback. First Q was the only Q we lost.
