Occasionally "new" coaches sometimes coach in the SL. But, I'm not fully surprised. Since he stepped down from coaching Canada, I assume that he wants to start early with the young guys.

As much as I think Jaden Springer has defensive potential, I just don't know if he'll get there offensively. He's heading into his 3rd year, but he'll be 21 in September. Looking at him now, he's a guy that probably shouldn't have been a one and done player. He probably would've been better off coming out this year or even as a Senior. He's not a playmaker, can't shoot(issue is mechanics), not a great finisher in traffic. I remember in the that draft, I wanted them to either trade that pick for a vet or trade back..

I think Springer's ceiling is maybe Avery Bradley. Right now, he seems like a more athletic poor man's Thybulle lol. Where I can see him being a lesser defensive playmaking threat like Thybulle and able to hold his own against good nba guards. But offensively, you have to find a way to make them playable outside of making them a C&S guy. He's someone that I wouldn't mind throwing in a Tobias trade just because I think Springer is still just 20 years, but still probably needs about 2-3 years to figure it out
