Was Brewers vs Tigers a good pitching matchup or bad offensive game, or both?

Final boxscore shows that in 11 innings, the teams combined for 7 hits, 0 earned runs, 27 strikeouts.

Re: 9/13 - 9/26 Game Discussion Thread

Robbie Ray has thrown 13 strikeouts. Even more impressive? He's struck out every Rays hitter at least once. He's reclaimed 1st in Strikeouts in the majors.

As long as Jays don't blow it near the end, this would be a huge surprise series win for them.

Edit-Pitching change, let's bring in a guy with an ERA around 5 to try and put away one of the best teams in baseball....first pitch, he allows a hit. Second batter, allows a home run. What else is new? Montoyos bullpen management this year has to be borderline fireable decision making.

I know overall Soria’s numbers aren’t horrible but I’m never comfortable when he enters a game.

Don’t blow Ray’s awesome start.

Forget Soria, I'm never confident with any reliever coming in.

The priority this offseason badly needs to be pitching. You have one of the best offenses in baseball on a team that easily should've been in the mid to high 80s wins right now (which is mid to high 90s win total) if not for this pitching.

Agreed. Just think how long they stuck with Dolis earlier in the season.

Re: 9/13 - 9/26 Game Discussion Thread

Jays actually held on, just barely, but get the series win!

I was expecting 2-4 record vs Rays to end the season. They're 2-1 so far, so even if they win just 1 of 3 in the next Rays series, that's better than expected.

Funny enough, Romano only has 4 saves this month despite the Jays winning 13 games, because so many were by so much.

Bos new nickname you know the media will love saying.

"Son of a bi..chette"

And the Mariners are useless. Looks like we'll still have a 3 team tie for the WC after today.
