To think, if we had expanded playoffs, this recent slide wouldn't be as painful. They'd be 1-3 games at the most out of a playoff spot right now.

Jays fans should be excited for next year. Possibly expanded playoffs and no stupid extra inning rule, Jays will be one of main teams benefitting from it next year.

Why would the Jays benefit from the extra inning rule being removed more than any other team?

Cardinals get 2 against the Tigers and 4 against the Pirates this week.

Crucial 6 games if you truly have aspirations of playing baseball in October.

Because they suck at a historic level, worse than the Dodgers.

They have a .181 winning percentage in those games (Dodgers close by with a .200 win%)

1933 Yankees are only other team in baseball the last 120 years who finished the year above .500 while having a win% below .200 in extras.

So if these numbers hold up, 2 of the bottom 5 worst win% in extras among those above .500 teams will have come in the "runner on 2nd" era.

Cardinals and Yadier Molina agreed to a one year extension. Reportedly worth $10MM

Welcome back Yadi!

Now let's resign Wainwright

I cannot with instant replay; it was clear that Freeman was safe…it was clear in real time, let alone on three different angles, and they still call him out. Terrible…
