I was there earlier this summer for one of the tournaments at Cooperstown Dreams Park (Im sure you passed by it). We got to go to the town a couple times and go through the HoF.

I don't think the wording in Ruth's plaque meant "Best selling baseball card." More along the lines of, he could sell out any park in baseball, when the Yankees came in, people bought tickets to see Babe.

Man I wish I could spend a couple weeks visiting Cooperstown, then Canton.

Looking at the online tour of Canton it doesn't look all that impressive but maybe they're leaving a lot out.

As for best selling baseball card of all time I believe that honour goes to Ty Cobb or Honus Wagner. (can't remember which one for sure)
