If anything, he potentially botched the ''trick''. If you let it drop, you throw to first, first. Then tag the runner.

Re: Cactus League, Grapefruit League 2024

Tigers broadcast showed clips of ST 1984 (their WS year).

Not that people often remember ST moments or ever want to rewatch a ST game, but it's something to think about seeing old ST footage and how many guys from a teams spring training might not have ever played a game for that MLB team and/or weren't viewed as a notable prospect but went on to have notable success elsewhere.

Was Michael Young ever part of a Jays spring training game? Ortiz in Seattle (was only in A ball at the time but did he ever just play some split squad day)?

And why does Andrew Chafin look like some vet in the 90s at the tail end of his career?

I was watching the Mets today and they had some minor leaguer playing that was wearing #15 and I got Tim Tebow spring training flashbacks

Yeah, it was like Tebow had dropped some heft. And I think Tebow would be glad to have the baseball talent Tyrone has.

Apparently reviews don't usually take as long as this did. If they're as quick as tennis challenges, that's a great length. Tennis just does reviews in a matter of seconds.

To start, what if MLB only allows challenges for strike 3 or ball 4? See how that goes and if it's good, it extends for the entire at bat.

Have they been doing these Spring Breakout games in the past or is this the first year?

It's been fun watching teams' top prospects playing each other.
