I think one of the worst things that's happened to sports/social media is the access to TV ratings.

I couldn't care less that this was one of the least viewed World Series' ever.

I'm sure you've seen wrestling social media when it comes to TV ratings.

People are just obsessed with things that really mean next to nothing to them, as if how many others watch will impact how they look back on something.

TV numbers all around are "bad" now vs 5,10,20 years ago for various reasons, but profits are at a high, so fans/media are really the ones "concerned" about this stuff more than the actual leagues
