This is the "easier" path to the WS for the Jays than the "AL Beast" path, but it'll be tough either way.

If GM1 is Gausman vs Gray, it could very well wind up some 2-1 game.

If OS existed in 1991, I'd be here giving **** to Cito for starting Tom Candiotti over Jhericurl King Juan Guzman.

In a possibly similar interesting move, Jays going with Berrios over Bassitt for gm2.

Jays have the better SP for GM 1 and 3, so let's hope they win gm1 or else it'll be tough trying to win gm2 with Gray vs Berrios.

Yeah, that's a little surprising. Bassitt's been better in September, but his road numbers are far worse than at home, the biggest divergence on Toronto's staff. Dunno.

Probably won't make much of a difference anyway. Unusual in that both teams (well, their fanbases, anyway) are probably happy with this matchup. The Trop is a deathtrap for the Jays, and if I was a psychologically scarred Twins fan, I'd much rather try my luck with the Jays than the Astros.

Figured Twins fans would've wanted Rangers.

Just took 5 of 7 against them in late August/early September.

Thus ends the Curse of Joe Nathan (and Ron Gardenhire).
