I've noticed a tendency for your goals to come later in the game than an opponents. Obviously with a record as bad as yours a lot of goals are going in.

But when you score, it feels like many of them are second half goals, and when you tie, it feels like it's a situation where you are "catching up" with the other team.

Is that a fair observation? And if so, what is it about the team that causes you to play that way?

I think it is.

To me it's probably a combination of our squad not being up to par yet, getting some bad bounces and several injuries. This team just isn't good enough to consistently win yet, which leaves us usually just trying to salvage something. Lack of timely saves has also been an issue and overall the goalkeeping play has been below acceptable. As a result, we are playing catch up a lot. Also, there have been many times we should have grabbed more goals but the execution or lack of quality rears its head and we waste really good chances.

Still, I feel we could/should probably have between 6-10 more points on the season. That would still leave us outside of the playoffs but right in that Montreal range with some room above the basement.
