Re: Developing a Home Run Derby Game - Need Testers

Does it work on mobile (i.e. iPad)? I managed a couple hits without know exactly how, but 95% of the time, I don’t think the bat swung while I was tapping on screen. I did notice the instructions referred to mouse clicks. Nothing about mobile touch screen.

Feedback: (note, I did not create a user profile, I simply wanted to jump right into it and give it a go)
-Is there an audio/sound option? Hearing the crack of the bat would be awesome. (Unless I can’t find the option).
-There use to be a homey derby mobile game, can’t find it anymore. You could see both the pitcher and batter. Consecutive hits would rack up points. Not sure if you want to implement something like that. Maybe not batter/pitcher visuals right now, but possibly points system.
-possibly shrink the right lower box. It can get in the way of pitches on a few occasion.

I gave it a try, had to lower some settings to get a higher frame rate.

I think the biggest thing to me is user feedback that you're actually swinging a bat. Maybe showing one swipe through would help with timing because it doesn't seem instantaneous, but also hard to say how long the 'swing' takes.

Being able to take practice swings could help with timing - but to me the biggest thing is the bat travelling and helping give a 'feel' for the hitting.
