Bought 2004 for the PC last week, but I can only do batting practice and home run derby - if I try to play an exhibition game or season it crashes to the desktop - and I get a box that pops up saying FMV -with the following error code -

Failed(hr=0x80040216) to m_pGB->Renderfile(wFile, NULL)


I am playing this using a windows 7 OS and I have tried to run it windows XP comp. mode, but get the same thing. I feel like this is a codec error, but not sure?

Any suggestions, or has anyone else run into this issue?

Getting older games to run on PC is a complete PITA.
I get BBPro 96/98 running...CTD.....I get HH running CTD. All at different times but consistent at those times.
I think mine is coming from sound issues(looking for a sound card...that was always a biggie back in the day...the sound card)

I've finally given up on it.
I had an older PC to run games...but it was too much space for the amount of time used.

Sigh...

I am about there also Knight. I still play Tony LaRussa 2 and 3, Hardball 5(enhanced version)MVP 05, and Old-Time Baseball all on the PC, but really wanted to get HH2004 running.
