Re: MLB Extra Innings

I have always had it, but didn't get it this year. I found that I watched allot of it the first month of baseball and after that I didn't watch it much. But, I see don't have a problem since all the Braves games are on TV here anyways.

Re: MLB Extra Innings

It's worth it for me. I love being able to watch any game I want. Plus I work from home, so I can get a lot of the East Coast afternoon games while I am home.

If you like baseball, and want to watch some particular players I recommend it.

Yeah, that's my big reason for wanting it... I work 9 hours a day at a job 45 minutes from my house so I'm gone 11 hours a day, and I got my little daughter in the evenings so I'm kinda busy, at least too busy to REALLY pay attention to baseball, even though I DO get my opportunities at times.. I may look into it tonight, see about the price and ponder getting after that... I'm a baseball addict though, I NEED my baseball fix dammit! LOL

I have the same problem. LOL

In your particular case it may not be worth it. Just because it doesnt sound like you have the time to really enjoy it.

Re: MLB Extra Innings

I liked it at first but I realized that virtually all of the Astros games were blacked out. Apparently even though I live 180 miles from there I am in the blackout zone. The amazing part was all of the road games were blacked out as well.

So I am relegated to whatever games are broadcast on FSN (local FOXsports) or on ESPN. I can't even get the games broadcast on local Houston channels. Basically, I'm screwed.

Prime example....tonight, season opener, no TV, not even local radio. Great marketing job guys. Maybe by the grace of God I will get it via the free preview, but I doubt it.

Which is weird. Becuase the Angels are about 50 or 60 miles away and I get a ton of their games. Only games that are blacked out for me are the Padres. But I get 140 Padres games on the local channel anyway.

Actually, if you read the fine print its pretty much useless. They are only giving away 1000 copies of 2004, and 500 of 2003. So 1,500 copies. I bet they are already gone. That and the fact that you had to send in the offer by 4/5. And by sending in the offer you need a copy of your cable bill with the charge on it. Its a big headache, not even really worth it.
