haha, I saw this earlier today. That moron didn't shut the machine off and now he is taking it out on his company. I was hoping to read a story about a machine that had a mind of it's own and starting mauling people

Man's ignorance and pure stupidity will allow man-made creations to rule this earth.

It won't take much for this to happen. Even with the number of smart people in this world, there are many more morons running around. Smart people are outnumbered.

Robots will take over with ease.

Of course, first you have to create an AI with intellect which surpasses the human brain. We are no where close to that right now and I'm not sure if we will ever be able to recreate the problem-solving skills and intellect of the human brain inside of a machine that works by solving math problems. We dont know what our country is capable of. There are very advanced weapons that is top secret. We are highly capable probably 10 years more advanced than anyone realizes. Do you think they would make it public? Our most advanced weapons/technology is not even known. It intrigues me really, because there is something we own that could change on how we think about technology.

Yeah, I going to have to disagree. With the speed that the technological process has shifted to...ten years isn't a reasonable guesstimate. Advancements occur over the course of a year in all known technologies in this day and age. To "suspect" they have hidden self realizing computers just sounds all conspiracy theory.
