Re: Undisputed Career Mode Impressions: Off to a Good Start

I'm enjoying the career mode. The gameplay is still lacking to me though. Mini games for training would be nice but I hope we aren't forced to do them. Stuff like that always get old really fast and become a chore.

I'd like to see custom ring walk music, weigh-in interactions/cutscenes, some sort of rivalry dynamic, what fights the fans want to see (choosing those fights could greatly increase fame & money).

Love the write up. The only thing I disagree on is the mini games. Unless they are truly fun I always found them monotonous in the old Fight Night games. But some of the drills are an important part of boxing so not mad if they are included.

What I would appreciate in place of mini-games is more sparring sessions catered to upcoming opponents with specific strategy goals. So for instance if going against a southpaw fighter with a strong left hook. Have the sparring goal be to avoid circling to your right, another to be to win the foot placement battle, with the last being throwing a certain amount of straight rights to get full credit for the sparring session.

Or if going against a fighter that moves a lot have the sparring goal be about cutting off the ring. Something like that which teaches the sport and gameplans while also preparing you for the upcoming fight.
