Why get this ps2/Xbox version of battlefront vs just re-downloading and playing the ps4 battlefront instead ??

Is the ps2 version better ? I honestly can’t remember it was 20 years ago.

Nostalgia? We're in kind of a dry period for new big releases, so remasters like this are getting more attention than they normally would have.

The newer battlefront games aren't exactly beloved, especially compared to the older ones. People didn't like the battle pass system in the modern series, so it's basically been cast off and dismissed. The older ones aren't considered masterpieces by any stretch tho. Just better by comparison.

I’ve read all the battlefield hate (from the ps4 days). I thought the game was unbelievable. But that’s just me.

I didn’t play the ps2 versions enough to remember them.

The solo campaigns are why I am going to replay them on the PS5.

I thought Battlefield II on the PS4 was a good game. But I enjoyed Battlefield II on the PS2 far more.

Should be a fun remaster.

Would I need my ps4 save to just pickup where I left off online a few years ago ?

Like all my level ups and cards and weapon upgrades etc etc ??

I don’t care about offline/single player stuff.

Just my online progress.

This is the PS2 versions remastered not the PS4 versions.
