One major difference between 2k5 and 2k7 is that due to being released during the NHL lockout , 2k5 had none of the rule changes that were introduced in the 06 season. While you can simply turn off 2 line pass, the AI was not programmed with that in mind.

2k7 has those and they tamed the OP wraparounds from 2k6.
