I miss it now that Hyper motion is a thing. would've been nice to see how they would implement this technology into a basketball videogame with the new consoles that's out.

I wouldn't get my hopes too high at this point. NBA Live is usually behind their other franchises tech-wise, late to adopt newer tech, and then get cancelled and they start over.
Not hearing anything about Live for a while doesn't necessarily mean that they have been working on it all this time. Also possible that they were developing something, then decided to scrap it and start over or cancel. It's hard to tell, they have a track record of scrapping projects. Hopefully I'm wrong.

They didn't even get Frostbite, they were still on the Infinity Engine or whatever it was called for Live 18 and 19. But Madden didn't even get the Hypermotion tech, it got Fieldsense. I thought Hypermotion would have been great for Madden to have full 22 player mo-capped tech that could have had added a ton of more realistic animations and less scripted gameplay. Like line protections and stunts/actions.

I'm not going to declare it done, until EA says so. EA has the pockets to keep the hope alive enough for them to try to see it through. Though they did move their staff to other divisions, I don't just see EA dropping out of the NBA market completely. Not sure how much they are making off of Live Mobile, but it can't be enough to maintain the NBA license. So one can hope that if they are keeping the NBA License, it'll be to make a comeback. Only thing we can hope that they spent the last 3 years completely building it up from scratch and that we get something by 2024. If we don't hear any type of update by the end of next summer, than I'll think it's over
