Is NBA Live 24 the unannounced EA Sports title?

EA Sports has two unannounced titles in store for the second half of the year: one of them seems to be EA Sports Rally, as Codemasters' Dirt series gets rebranded.

Should we keep any hopes that the other might be NBA Live 24? I know it's a long shot but they snagged both Rob Jones and Scott O'Gallagher from NBA 2K a few years back and we haven't heard anything ever since.

Both of them unabashedly still refer to themselves as EA employees on their Twitter profiles. One has to assume keeping these likely expensive and talented professionals working on anything other than what they excel at (basketball) shouldn't be in EA's best interest.

Has anyone heard something related to it? I'd love to see Live making a comeback.

You're setting yourself to be extremely disappointed. Live has no market share, game is 1 more bad release from being buried next to E.T. for Atari 2600 in an southwestern desert..

I really want this. People act like the gameplay is far off but it’s not. The defense is great if you understand the physics and don’t play it like it’s 2k, the fastbreaks in 19 were spot on, the cpu AI was not bad in half court offense sets. They just need to add and fix the animations. They also need to allow the cpu AI to shoot more 3s. NBA teams do not shoot 10 3s a game anymore. This is not the 90s . You cannot say anything else bad besides that.

Defense isn’t broken people just don’t know how to play it. Lol it’s the complete opposite of 2K. You have to have hold L2 and hold the right stick up and play aggressive defense. You’ll never lose your man.

The only way I'm going back to an EA NBA game is if it is connected to an EA college basketball game. But what I"m really hoping is 2K beats EA to market with their own College Hoops game.
