How many skill moves do you use??

I just picked up the game as part of the double disc set with MLB2K13 and started in the tutorials section. Wow...lot to remember there..

I was just curious how many different moves everyone uses because there is no way that I can memorize all of those.

If you play long enough you'll know every moves in the game. Some dudes have been playing 2K since forever.

If it's your first time playing the game though it might feel kinda ridiculous.

just move the stick around for now... most of the moves are intuitive and the more situations youve played thru the more sense it makes

yeah totally most of the dribble moves are intuitive if not a little unresponsive. I have a lot of trouble remembering all the different hopsteps / jumpshots but I guess thats pretty intuitive as well. I routinely have trouble triggering the runner/teardrop (shoot and then away from basket) or whatever animation though like 8/10 times it just turns into a jumpshot or fadeaway sometimes even a layup.

Oh and dont use the shot stick for shooting, use the buttons. Thats definitely a departure if youve played older nba 2k's but its for sure the way to go this year.

for the teardrop.. i use the shot stick... thats one of the few animations where i deter from the new controls ...

trigger --- while moving toward the basket - keep the left stick pointing towards.. then press L2 and pull the right stick back

i dont remember the command when using the button, but like u said, it usually ends up looking wrong

Same.
I also use the buttons for fast breaks so you don't end up doing some slow animation lay-up. But yeah I use the stick for most shots, especially in the post.
