Reminisce: A Game for the Ages

Don't you just love when you have a game where you completely just go off, but it's not like you were straight up forcing your guy to go off? Just have him hit some insane shots to get going, and have him do it alllll game long. Almost to the point where you go in and check to see if someone ****ed around with your sliders.

Games like this is what makes me 2k.

Just had a Playoff game in my Association where Derrick Rose went completely nuts, had the cross over going, the euro step, everything was on. And I had Joe Johnson trying to match me almost bucket for bucket. They weren't guarding each other, but every time Rose would get a bucket, Joe would get the ball and try to match or show me up by doing something just as nuts.

Hadn't seen anything like it for a long time, and I'm on 2k all the damn time. I normally play All-Star or Superstar depending on my state of mind at the time lol, so I was on All-Star tonight.

Rose stat line: 54 points, 11 assists, 2 steals.
JJ stat line: 53 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists.

Reminisce on some of your recent insane games.

Playoff game for me as well. Actually first career playoff game for Brook Lopez. Hibbert and Hansbrough couldn't contain him. Lopez's post play was amazing. Hadn't seen him do this all season, then boom! He just goes off and lights it up. Hop steps, dunks, hook shots, layups, he did it all.

Lopez finished with 43 points, 10 rebounds, 1 steal, 2 blocks in a 104-80 win.

out of curiosity...what difficulty and quarter length are you guys playing?

I want to do a more realistic sim association...but not sure if I can get used to 10 min quarters and such. What do you guys do to get those realistic final scores?

I do All-Star, 12 minute quarter lengths. I had started off with 7 minute quarters but my final scores were in the 60s. So I upped it to 12 minutes. 10 should be fine for most, I would think.

Finally just finished Year 2 and won the title (second straight year and it was work).

Game 7 vs the Lakers came back from a 3-2 deficit.

No Wade or Miller due to injury since game 2.

Lebron pours in 55 points. Heat win going away 111-98

So just curious...how many games do you sim?

You're quarter length each game takes what? An hour and ten min?

Just wondering...my gf is cool as hell and watches her share of late-night 2k11...but I don't know if I can do over an hour per game.

I do want most realistic games and stats tho...can you get in the 100's @ 10minutes?

I never go for realistic scoring games. I just play to where I can have fun. Up until I joined this, I played 5 minute standards. I actually played a 3 minute one once to hurry up the seasons. I play 7 minutes now so I get a good length of a game, and I usually feel done right around the end of the game. It just depends on what exactly you want out of your games.

OKC (me) vs. CHI
2012 NBA Finals - Game 7. In Chicago.

Final score 101-100 (guessing... don't remember exactly, I just know I won by ONE point)

Serge Ibaka .... 17 points. 17 rebounds. 19 BLOCKS!

He blocked Joakim Noah about 14 of those times... Noah's shot release is easily timed in this game. Ibaka also blocked Korver's potential game winner
