Can someone inform me on how next gen release’s will work for PC?

After reading reviews and thoughts on this forum, I’ve come to the conclusion that there really is no need to upgrade to 2k21 since my league was hardly touched.

I’m assuming (and hoping) that the next gen 2K releasing here sometime soon (Xbox releases Nov. 10th) and has a lot of upgrades since it is on the new system.

Since the game is already out on PC, will they patch in all of their updates? How did this work on last gen?

Last time PC got the next gen version a year later with 2K15.
