Poor CPU Decision making at the end of the shot clock

Is it just me, or does the CPU INSIST on jacking up 3s at the end of the shot clock. Rather than work the ball inside or get the best shot, they'll rather pass the ball to the player further away from the basket for a contested 3, regardless to who the player is and their 3pt tendencies.

This to me makes the CPU easy to beat. Wasnt like this in past games. I'm assuming this is hard-coded to better mimic today's game? This not the way 2k.
