I agree. I never thought 2K was a bad looking game..but something they did this year is striking...cant put my finger on it.

Gotta be something they tweaked with the shaders to enhance how the sweat reflects off the skin. That would be my guess because it makes the players look less flat. Also seems they slightly beefed up some body types and added subtle but noticeable muscle definition bumpmaps/textures.
