NBA 2K24 Impressions Thread (XBOX SERIES X, PLAYSTATION 5)

I think a really underrated aspect of the game is the fluidness of some of the bang-bang plays. It really shines in the NG version of the game.

While there’s probably 20% more two-man animations in the game than I care for, the amount of real time, glancing interactions you see (sometimes more than one at a time) is really dope. Shows how far we’ve come.

Strength also makes a really big difference this year and not just in a “You can successfully drop step in the post more” way as it has in the past.

It’s evident in how a lot of the animations play out.

Your so right about the strength. The other day I was driving with Chris Paul. He has no bull dozer badge or any of those strength badges. I watched CP3 push this big around in the paint for score. I think I missed because help came. I've seen some other very subtle strength animations. I love it.

D.Booker hop jumper is elite. But the new Proplay sidestep animations are especially satisfying

Not going to lie, it feels when you progress through the years in Eras, new animations happen. Like you wont see things happen in 1990 that would be present in 2007. Not just the amount of threes but like contact dunks, crossovers , chasedown blocks..
