Re: MMA Off-Topic

Killer Nguyen (UFC 4-2... only one fight going to decision).
is up on a night that has been aall decisions... oh and Wilder and Fury just started (One that the UFC themselves promoted yesterday!), Dana White is probably going "Flyweights just never took off."

you couldn't make it up if you tried.....

Might get a faster answer in the boxing forum.

Posted there first, no answer. I'm sure they'll eventually say something about it on Showtime.

Reis vs Nguyen was a good show of how simple takedowns, grappling control, and aggression can outweigh damage and sig strikes in the judges eyes.

Re: MMA Off-Topic

Ben landed more significant strikes, but I thought it was a super obvious 30-27. I didn't see any way Ben could have won round two or three.

Why not? he landed more sig strikes in two rounds (first round twice as many), took no damage on the ground

Re: MMA Off-Topic

I get it, if we just look at it casually he was getting his butt kicked and Reis was pushing the pace in every round. But that's not what the judging says. If we look at the judging like UFC3 does Nguyen would have won.

In round 2 he landed one more significant strike.

I can't find any media that thought Ben won, most have it 30-27 Reis.

Also, I think we can all agree that performance from Okami was impressive. He's obviously been watching me play ea ufc and he's copying my style.
