So yeah Evan Tanner is a hall of famer

We can hopefully agree that his Pancrase fights and USWF fights don't do much to influence whether he'll be in the UFC hall of fame.

When he was in the UFC, he never really reached that elite level. He was certainly very good, and his 11-6 record in the UFC is respectable and a lot of guys would love to have that sort of success. But as a hall of famer? He was 1-2 in title fights. He never once successfully defended a UFC championship.

And his best wins, as you listed, aren't that impressive. Paul Buentello? Who feared Paul Buentello? The caterer? And Phil Baroni has a 13-10 record, so I'm not sure how feared he is, either. His best win was Robbie Lawler, who was a very good fighter, but he wasn't an elite fighter. Every time Tanner did face an elite fighter (2x Franklin, 1x Ortiz), he got destroyed.

It's like trying to make a case for Brad Johnson being a hall of famer. A guy with a very good, long, admirable career, but a guy who just never once reached that highest level of greatness.

I just saw the commercial for UFC Undisputed, pretty hot. Release day is almost here.

Dude I missed that commercial. I was in the kitchen and by the time I made it back it was at the end showing the game title and the release date.

Shannon Ritch has fought 111 MMA fights,he's 43-64-0 with 4 NC. That's a lot of fights without a draw and apprently he has no fights in the UFC either.
