Re: Five removed features MLB The Show needs to bring back

Would love to gage everyone’s thoughts about the PS4 vs PS5 version of the game this year. Being a massive SOTS fan, and spending hours creating the sounds that make each park unique, I’m curious as to if this OS crowd is playing the PS4 version (to use SOTS) over playing the enhanced version of the PS5 game.

SOTS is the one thing that makes this game so special to me because it’s something that I would die for all other sports games to have, to create the incredible atmosphere that so many sports venues have and truly make them feel different.

It seems to be a common thing for gaming companies to remove features, only to add them back in years later, disguised as new features.

I totally get that the main reason for SOTS’s removal is for feature parity, but it’s just such a heartbreak to be without a feature that is one of the main reasons why I play this great game

Click R1 (ps4/PS5) and it will give you a list of all the players in your organization. Click on the player, and it will bring up a "manage injury" tab. There you can assign the injury, and duration.

On a side note, I really wish they would give us back the ability to turn OFF the Gosh darn Home run camera.
to add on to this, first you have to go into settings > general > advanced, turn injuries (in between ejections & check swing appeal?) turn injuries to manual

I only left that part out because he already stated he had them on manual

Morale is a funny one, as it's a microcosm of franchises problems. When it was introduced, it was a cool idea, add another dimension to decision making. But it was broken, it needed to be adjusted and fixed to make it work.

So they did nothing to fix it for a few years, then removed it.

I think this might be the problem. I have them on manual in the Mode specific injuries setting. Sounds like I needed to check this in the general settings. I knew something like this was creating my problem. Thanks for the help, guys.

Edit: Thank you guys again. I tested it on my lunch break and it now works for me. I don't know I'd have ever found it without you two. Just wanted to add it to this post.

Have we ever gotten an answer why we can’t edit coaches? Game desperately needs a Create-A-Skipper.

All Star Baseball 2001 is still my favorite game of all time and had the best mode in any Sports game, expansion mode.

Re: Five removed features MLB The Show needs to bring back

For me the one thing which I would most like to see is the return of year to year saves; especially for rosters. It is very frustrating having to recreate the same players each year. It is also very discouraging for those who would want to create historic rosters. I also hope they take great strides to rebuild the last name voice database which was decimated with the move to a new commentary team.
