There is a section under the TRANSACTIONS tab that says ROSTER HISTORY or something along those lines that will show in which year you acquired a player and how

It's bugged though. Any player you extend through the new extension system shows up as coming in through free agency.

Oh I didn't know that, as I haven't extended a player through the new extension system, since the CPU doesn't use it.

The CPU never extends any of their player contracts?

That's interesting. 30 team control would fix that (which I don't do but I'm tempted).

I wasn't aware of that. If that's the case I won't do it. I don't use sponsorships because my understanding is the CPU teams don't get them.

It can't be done during the season. Just in the off-season and during spring training.
