"Point Locator To Target A Runner"

Anyone else find the "Left Stick + O, ■, ▲" mechanic really shaky at times? Just lost a massive 9th inning rally because the "pointer" pointed at the wrong player causing a complete backup on the bases.

Haven't cracked a controller in years. SDS take note

You asked a question and I answered that I haven’t noticed the “pointer” acting shaky

Re: "Point Locator To Target A Runner"

I have struggled with bad base running since trying to get into The Show over the last month and could not agree more.

I have ran myself out of more runs than I have scored. I switched to classic base running last night and found it helpful. Controls are just more intuitive for me.

Yes I use classic and hold on to L2 advancing All baserunners. I don't fool with that Left Stick for base running.

Re: "Point Locator To Target A Runner"

Yeah, there's no way I was the only one.

I did discover something though! D-Pad works as a method of pointing at a baserunner, not just the left stick. So if you have a man on 3rd with someone creeping off from 2nd and don't want to make the mistake of the pointer "locating" the wrong runner (as was the case in my OP) press left on the D-Pad. From what I can tell, the D-Pad is fool proof.

Just more stuff SDS leaves us to figure out but good to know.

Re: "Point Locator To Target A Runner"

No issues here. I try to keep things as simple as possible when running the bases, so the situation dictates whether I use an advance all (always my first option), try to control runners individually, or a mix of both. Without knowing your situation, it's difficult to comment other than answering the posed yes/no question.
