haha word.

Just call me the trend setta'.

Or not. Glad you guys like the idea! I used to play 2B when I played ball, but had to find something different when creating myself coming up with the Yankees due to them obviously having Cano.

^^^^

since

a) it's rare to see a player move UP on the defensive spectrum, usually players only move down, and

b) you'll likely not make it to the Show in your first year or if you do it will be after at least half the season is gone,

why not just make him a shortstop to begin with and be the heir apparent? If you make him a 2B and then can't get your position changed it will throw a wrench in your plans. You'll probably play close to the whole season in the minor leagues anyway.

The idea to replace Jeter is a cool one though, I just could never see myself playing for the yankees

Starting fresh. Don't have game for PS3 so I'm waiting. Probably a SS, CP, even considering 1B. May play some outfield position for fun. I played 2B last year but I enjoy the longer range throw, higher chance of a bang bang plays. Also tried out CF last year and it took a while to adjust to but wasn't too bad eventhough I had a bad reaction and range as I play as auto fielding in regular games lol

Re: MLB 14 The Show PS4: Road to the Show Thread

I created a "test" RTTS switch hitting 3B that was supposed to be used for just messing around, but I liked the outcome and think I'm going to keep it going on PS4. I was drafted in the 3rd rd by the Pirates. I think it'd be a great journey through that organization, granted I don't get traded :-P

Re: MLB 14 The Show PS4: Road to the Show Thread

I created a 1B that got drafted by the Padres that, as of this moment at least, I'll probably put out there in the Cloud. But I imagine that my other players I create (usually a reliever and a center fielder) I will start fresh on PS4 when that comes out. I've also tinkered with the idea of making an infielder aside from a 1B that is left handed like myself since you can now do that. When I was in pee-wee league, I thought 3rd Base would be a fun position and didn't learn how hard it was for a lefty to do that until Little League, then I transitioned to 1st. But now, I can finally live out my dream!

Re: MLB 14 The Show PS4: Road to the Show Thread

finally, i can recreate myself (as i do every year) and finally play through my career! furthest i've gotten was 5-years deep, that was a couple years ago (mlb 11 i believe). second baseman, switch hitting, power doesn't come until about year 3.

i also have a closer that i've started on the vita version of the game that i may carry over but we will see.

RTTS is too fun, I am having hard time now deciding what to do. I have created new 6 players now but I probably will move them all over to the PS4.
