2015 New York Yankees

Jeter is gone, we're stuck with A-Rod, and now a Steinbrenner won't spend money on the team.

Discuss.

Steinbrenner you piece of ****, I'm for fiscal responsibility but Moncada wasn't the time to make that stand.

Anyways.

I wouldn't be surprise to see any of the 5 AL East teams win the division.

As far as Tanaka's elbow is concerned I'm just hoping he last long enough for Nova to be ready.

Yeah if George was still in charge Moncada would be in pinstripes.

Disappointing opening day I'd say. 161 to go though

Don't worry they won't lose them all.

Gonna be a long year in the Bronx. Too many question marks too many old guys who are way past their primes to even contend for a wild card berth.

I think the Mets will have a better record.

Re: 2015 New York Yankees

The mets will not have a better record, I think this Yankee team if pitching stays mostly healthy is an 85 win team, that may be enough to win the toss up A.L East this year as I dont see any of these teams running away with the division.

As far as the Yankees not spending money I think that will change after this year and for sure after next year when they start getting these horrible contracts off thier books (Tex, Arod, Beltran etc), in the meantime they are actually doing a good job of getting the team younger and more versitile IMO, watching yankee games the last couple of seasons has been a drag most days as they have no players outside of Gardner that tries to spark anything, its the old school draw a walk stand on your base until a HR guy hits a HR, oh wait the HR guy is not 37 years old and dosn't hit HR's that much anymore and strikes out 100+ times, no runs scored no runners moved over or runs manufactured. I think change is in the air it just might take one more non playoff year to get the ball rolling again, but 85 wins might win the division and who knows with a strong pen we got and the potential that these starter have outside of CC it could push up towards 90 if they can find some damn offense.

Re: 2015 New York Yankees

Yankees have Pineda and Nova if he stays healthy actually both of them. Tanaka won't win with an 88 mph FB. CC is shot. Besides they can't score.

The Mets have a far superior staff and a better lineup. Yanks lucky to be a .500 team. Mickey Rivers lite is your go to guy you got problems.
