Wudl83's slider set - Total Control Pitching, Classic Batting

Since I tried many slider sets that are provided here at this board and none matched my personal preferences and my playing style 100% (no offense, many of them are great nonetheless!) I decided to give you an insight on how my sliders look by now.

These sliders work best with my roster set. If you got the PC version you can find them here: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...pc-roster.html

Perhaps you find them interesting and they work for you. Feel free to give them a shot and to post comments in this thread about your feelings. It would be greatly appreciated. If you have questions why the sliders are set to a certain number feel free to ask, too.

I want to give Mkharsh big credit, since he was the one that influenced my sliders the most.

My sliders should play the game a little faster overall than other slider sets.

Here are the instructions.

1) Game settings:
Pitcher fatigue - 55
Active bullpen - ON
Catcher suggestion - ON
Dynamic player ratings - ON

2) Controller Options:
Batter's Eye - OFF
Pitch Aim - Breakpoint Aim
Auto Fielding - OFF
Auto Baserunning - OFF
Pitching Control Type - Total Control
Batting Control Type - Classic

3) Cameras:
Pitching - Camera Pitcher, Zoom 5, Position 5, Height 5, Side Normal
Batting - Camera Batter 3, Zoom 9, Height 5, Pitch Zoom off
Fielding - Camera Dynamic, Zoom 1, Height 10
Base running - Camera Home Plate, Zoom 1, Height 10

4) Sliders - put them in from ALL-STAR:
User Batting:
Batting Contact - 30
Batting Power - 60
Bunt Contact - 40
Bunt Success - 40
Batter Eye Frequency - 0

CPU Batting:
AI Batting Contact - 70
AI Batting Power - 80
AI Bunt Contact - 60
AI Bunt Success - 60

USER Pitching:
Pitch Meter Speed - 75
Pitch Speed - 80
Pitch Break Influence - 50
Pitcher Composure Influence - 40
Pitcher Control - 20

CPU Pitching:
AI Pitch Speed - 80
AI Pitch Success - 70
AI Strike Zone Tendency - 40
AI Pitch Break Influence - 50
AI Pitcher Composure Influence - 15

USER Fielding:
Throw Accuracy - 10

Infield Throw Speed - 45
Outfield Run Speed - 10
Infield Run Speed - 10

CPU Fielding:
AI Gather Error Frequency - 50
AI Throwing Error Frequency - 50
AI Outfield Throw Speeds - 55
AI Infield Throw Speeds - 45
AI Outfield Run Speed - 10
AI Infield Run Speed - 10

USER Running:
Base Runner Speed - 55
Pickoff Success - 45
Catcher Arm Strength - 45
Catcher Arm Accuracy - 45

CPU Running:
AI Base Runner Speed - 55
AI Hit n Run Tendency - 60
AI Sacrifice Bunt Tendency - 40
AI Squeeze Tendency - 40
AI Base Running Aggression - 60
AI Steal Aggression - 40
AI Catcher Arm Strength - 55
AI Catcher Arm Accuracy - 50

With those sliders I get fairly accurate scores. Sometimes you get low scoring games against the top pitchers and you get high scoring games against the mediocre and bad pitchers. With my playing style I am able to get pretty accurate numbers regarding extra base hits, strikeouts, walks, and so on.

Exmaple of my last 3 results:
LA Angels 3 (AI, SP Weaver)
LA Dodgers 1 (me, SP Kershaw)

Arizona Dbacks 5 (AI, SP Miley)
San Francisco Giants 4 (me, SP Zito)

Baltimore Orioles 7 (AI, SP Matusz)
Tampa Bay Rays 10 (me, SP Moore)

Re: Wudl83's slider set - Total Control Pitching, Classic Batting

After not seeing one single HR in my last 5 games (neither me or AI) I was finally thinking about changing the sliders before playing one last game. But then came this:

I was playing the Athletics and the Angels simply destroyed me.
My SP Tim Milone started the 1st inning strong with 1 K and 2 GOs, but he gave up 2 hits to start the 2nd, getting rattled extremely so I had problems to hit the spots. Though I got out of the 2nd with only one run for the Angels Milone had trouble in the 3rd again, giving up 6 runs, fostered by 7 hits including 1 HR and 3 walks. After that I had to replace him with my LR Figueroa. Later I brought in Jim Miller as my third pitcher. All my pitchers gave up homeruns, quite a slugfest for the Halos which benefitted by a extreme shaky A's defense which comitted 3 errors.
I had troubles hitting of CJ Wilson. He gave up only 4 hits and 1 BB in 8 strong innings, before being replaced by the lefty Takahashi, who had trouble himself while giving up 2 HR in only one inning. But since the lead was so big, it didn't really matter anymore.

Strange game, but was big time fun although I lost so damn hard. No slider change.

I made a few test games with my edited rosters. I decided to lower the pitch speed for both AI and user to 80 and lower AI batting power to 80. Also user gather errors were lowered to 50.

I tested a few games with the AI Pitching Pitching Success with 100 and Strike Zone Tendency 55. And I got an average of .630 or more Strike Zone.
But I play with Total Batting/Pitching with:
contact 20;
power 35;
