Where the hell was the D? I mean that game should have been like 21-14-ish.

Same here...I pray we can play defense this year. I think we will be able to do so.

It all depends on how good the players are defensively and the type of offense they run. It has already been pointed out that neither guy really pounded the ball, which leads to more plays because you get down field faster and on incompletions, the clock stops. The more plays you have, the more opportunities you have to score. Also both teams have a so-so secondary.

Good point. However, that also means that neither was really playing pass defense.

Of course, while I would love to hear an explanation from them; my playing of the game (GS demo) with my friends seem to indicate you can play good defense. I'm thinking that perhaps they were gambling on the defensive side of the ball or just fooling around.

Point well made. Also BUSH took a KR and PR for six so....I just want DEFENSE to actually matter you know? For years MADDEN has been a scoring fest and i think at this point most of us are kind of sick of it, at least i certainly am. All i want is some great D battles 10-3, 13-10 etc. Blowouts will come here and there.

One thing to note with that score guys, is that Ian said he had a kick return and punt return taken to the house.

Without those scores its a much closer game.
