Passes Defensed not recording

Has anyone else noticed this?

Every time I "swat" a ball on defense (or if the ai does it for me) it doesn't record as a "pass defensed". I've looked at replay to be sure it was defensed, and they are (even the commentary mentions it as a pass defensed) but it won't show up in the stats. Even ones where a SS with an "ability" lights up and knocks the pass away don't count. The only times I've seen passes defensed count in the stats is if was an attempted INT that was dropped.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

this has been one of my biggest annoyances in actual gameplay for years. I'm lucky if the stats show 2 a game when it should be say 5. Unless I'm wrong, I always assumed say a pass breakup from a LB across the middle on a TE or a swat by a DB on the boundary should count as a Pass Defensed.

Some of the stat tracking is either bugged or just plain wrong. Other thing I never got is why don’t they have pancakes tracked all season instead of just in game.

The stats and tracking need a lot of work.

I agree. Stat tracking is horrible. Its so hard to tell at what you can look at to get accurate information. The stats that appear under the score bug (during a game) are accurate to a point. Between quarter cut scene stats and halftime are horribly off. Weekly game planning stats are all over the place that you cant even look at them to game plan. As far as I can tell, player stats screen on third tab are the most accurate. Cant 100% say for sure though.

Tackles are not even recorded correctly either...

Agree, swatted balls are never recorded. If a receiver gets his hands on a pass and is then hit by a defender, thus causing him to drop the football, this will be recorded as both a drop and a PDef.

Even wide open drops by wide receivers are not recorded as drops sometimes.

I also noticed that in played games, all sacks (even .5 sacks) are also recorded as TFL's. However, in simmed games sacks are NOT recorded as TFL's.

It's been messed up for years. You can lead the league in interceptions or sacks and it won't even show the player in the league stats screen. They don't bother to fix it.

Attention to detail is not something EA specializes in.

Red zone stats are terrible too. Sometimes you get 2 failed attempts on one time in the red zone. If you intercept the ball in your opponents red zone you can get a missed attempt. I always lead the league in RZ attempts but am near the bottom in percentages.
