Does consistently harassing the CPU controlled QB rattle him?

Just wondering. Seems like once I start getting pressure on the QB a lot he starts to make bad throws. Wasn’t sure if the game is made this way or it’s all in my head.

Re: Does consistently harassing the CPU controlled QB rattle him?

Do you mean he starts making more poor throws from a clean pocket? Or, do you mean he has more poor throws in the face of pressure?

One thing I notice from modding the game, is that there is a bunch of internal variables that track “composure”, and that the composure level can effect the players - since I never seen this feature communicated anywhere, I had assumed this might be a feature they were working on for the future - but your post is making me think it is actually being used.

If you turn int grounding off you'll get even more variety with qb's and will seem more "rattled" from what I've seen

Yes. It’s been there for decades already. It’s a variation on “ice tilt,” “comeback code” and whatever other names people have given it over the years.

The fact you’re wondering if it’s just in your head is telling, insofar as this has always been a loose discussion about how accurately a human brain can process what these gamecodes/AI are actually up to.

I don’t think it’s any more complex than what’s happening in a game like Super Stardust HD after you level-up your ship a couple times, yet you’ll still get guys saying “hurrrrr this game isn’t that complex” when you try to explain to them that multiple consecutive properly-executed plays leads to more positive outcomes (the opposite is also true, where multiple consecutive poorly-executed plays leads to more poor results).

I have always thought it did. You will face full on robo QB, then get a couple of sacks and he'll go off and start missing.

Re: Does consistently harassing the CPU controlled QB rattle him?

It seems that way to me.

The way it shows up when I play is that when I force a change in the CPU QB’s timing or throwing platform, I’m way more likely to get misses and negative plays, and these do seem cumulative within a drive.

There are only a few QBs who can be forced to play off-schedule regularly and still beat you.
