well this mod is different for sure i thought i was imagining the 6 million dollar man game play as i felt in slow mo lol but it is different for sure i think the only thing that really threw me off was when i went to go kick and the meter was so fast my eye balls fell out . keep up the good work

Haha, yes, the kick meter is faster than default. It doesn't take too long to get used to, in my opinion. I was trying to find anyway to make the FG kicking in the game difficult, but we've tried multiple different things in the editor and it just seems impossible to make FG's accurately hard without lowering the slider which in turn makes the CPU unrealistically poor at kicking.

It is installed like any other mod. Download both files, move them to your mod folder, and then apply the mod in Frosty.

I'm not sure if anyone is using this mod, but I did recently do a minor update to get to v2.5. Since I've never really gone into detail what exactly was changed, I will try now to list as much as I can think of off the top of my head, but more or less there isn't really anything not tinkered with in Frosty.

- Tried to remove every USER or CPU boost. You should both be on pretty much equal footing in all phases of the game. Any change I made in gameplay should result in both you and the CPU playing by the same rules. From time in the pocket to man coverage.
- Tuned QB pocket logic. No more twitchy movements. Guys will scramble if you give them the space. Traits matter more. Oblivious QBs are oblivious.
- Tuned pass blocking. No more 5 second pockets unless you have a good OL and extra blockers. Expect 2-4 seconds in the pocket depending on matchups.
- Tuned run blocking. Tried to get it to where holes were more organic and smaller while also trying to keep insta-shed to a minimum. The base game was binary - huge hole or insta-shed. Expect more carries around 2-3 yards with the occasional longer. Some plays like offset runs out of the gun are still pretty successful because the game is just built to where they are very powerful. May want to set some limitations on that if you recognize it is significantly better than the rest of your rushing attack.
- Tuned defense entirely. I tried to remove the delays that the game has built into it where the DL cannot make moves or steer blockers for 1 second. Made no sense to me and must be something implemented for the H2H comp crowd. Now expect the DL to be using their full arsenal right at the snap and the battle at the line to be more balanced. Expect tighter coverage as well. I have it pretty much as tight as I can possibly get it without ruining CPU QB logic when combined with less time in the pocket. I personally find it rather tough to pass on and am very happy with it.
- QB's will actually misfire now, especially when facing pressure. Also, traits matter more here. QBs that have the force passes trait will force passes downfield when they feel stressed.
- To go along with the defensive changes listed before, expect the back 7 to react to runs at a much quicker and organic speed. I always hated that the back 7 in Madden took half a second to recognize a run. The run game was made artificially hard with insta-sheds. Now that I tried to fight the insta-sheds and get a good balance at the line of scrimmage, expect LB's and the secondary to react to runs much quicker and in more realistic times like an NFL athelete around .15-.22 seconds. Holes will be smaller and plugged quicker forcing you to not hesitate.
- To go along with the changes at the line and the defensive reaction times, I have made the RB's be more decisive in their cuts and a lot less reliant on using moves like the spin. Gone are the days of the vanilla game where the CPU is spinning around 5 times a drive. Expect spin moves A LOT less frequently and in appropriate times now by appropriate players. More lowering the shoulder to pickup 3-4 yards and less spinning and juking unless in the open space to use it.
- Defenders should now need to physically see the ball before they can make a play on it. Will there still be the occasional Madden interception? Probably. Did I try my best to remove those plays? Definitely. Expect more times than not that when you throw the ball up, unless the other defenders saw the pass being made that it will be a 1v1 between your man and the guy covering him. Also, reaction times were tuned here as well. I felt the DB's in zone coverage actually broke on passes at unrealistic speeds. Expect their reaction times to fall in line with the reaction times on rushing plays. Elite athlete safeties are still great at playing CF, but now actually react in realistic manners make throws down the seem much more viable.
- I also have a host of other changes that Sabo did grant me the right to implement into my mod. These include the CPU playbook/playcalling changes. The more realistic punting changes, though I made a very small tweak to them to try and get a hair longer hang time to get less 10+ yard returns.
- Users and CPU's can lead passes more than the base game. It should be easier to place the ball in areas that only your man can get to. It will also be easier to overthrow guys. There is a good balance to it.

The whole aim of this mod was to take away any bonuses the CPU or USER had. It was to put you and the CPU on equal footing in every aspect from reaction times in the rushing and passing attack to the time in the pocket, the size of holes in the rushing game, etc. I aimed to get everything happening in as realistic manner as I could while not killing any logic for the CPU. For example, going as tight as possible in coverage without introducing route mirroring and also not making it so tight the CPU refuses to ever throw the ball. Everything also still needed to be fun and viable while also remaining difficult to be consistent at unless you had a great team/player.

I did not try to make anything artificially hard just to get realistic results. Everything was tuned to look real, feel real, and behave real. While the game is much better in my mind, it isn't perfect. While I feel I struck a great balance at the line in getting smaller holes and also limiting insta-sheds to a more realistic amount, some of you may think it is still tuned inappropriately. That is fine. Like I said, I know I am posting this mod late, I know most are probably going to stick with Nectar or Sabo's Rebirth mod and that is fine. I don't see myself as competing with those two. They have each done great things and followed their own visions. My mod is simply there for those who want to try something new for whatever reason. I'm happy if even 1 other person on this board is using the patch and loving the way the game plays now. If not, oh well, I still enjoy it, so does my buddy in the CFM. It has made Madden more enjoyable for us.

The first post in the thread will have a link to the v2.5 download, but I'll put it under here as well. Just download the file, unzip it, then add the mod to your Frost Mod Manager like any other mod you'd download. If anyone wants me to upload the project file so they can look at the values then I'll gladly do it.
