With the recent updated 2014-2015 rosters that bhrangerfan posted up, I just couldn't resist scratching my current Maple Leafs dynasty and starting up a new one with the newer rosters. I will be deleting everything on my current Leafs page and updating it with some newer stuff, but in the mean-while, I am going to establish some 'house rules' to make this dynasty more realistic.
Current Contract Clauses:
Phil Kessel - No Movement Clause; Modified No-Trade Clause (15 Teams) Joffrey Lupul - Limited No-Trade Clause (can submit a 14 team trade list) David Clarkson - No Movement Clause; Modified No-Trade Clause (10 Teams) James Van Riemsdyk - Modified No Trade Clause after 2016-2017 season. Tyler Bozak - Modified No-Trade Clause (13 Teams) Dion Phaneuf - No Movement Clause; Modified No-Trade Clause (can submit a 12 team trade list) Stephane Robidas - Modified No-Trade Clause (10 Teams)
*** For those with modified no trade clauses or limited no trade clauses, I will use a random number generator to determine which teams will be on their trade list.

Re: Hockey Night in Toronto | The Toronto Maple Leafs
Maple Leafs Make Final Cuts Before Opening Night Showdown with Montreal
Just three days before their season opening show down against the rival Montreal Canadiens, the Toronto Maple Leafs released their final cuts to trim down their roster to the required amount of players. Sam Carrick, Ryan Rupert, Greg McKegg, Matt Frattin, Korbinian Holzer, Stuart Percy, Eric Knodel and Andrew MacWilliam were all assigned to the Maple Leafs' affilliate, the Toronto Marlies.
Carrick, the captain of the Marlies last season, was expected to make the Maple Leafs' opening night lineup, but a great performance from first round pick William Nylander sent him packing his bags and on his way back to the Marlies change room.
As it stands, the 2014-2015 roster for the Toronto Maple Leafs will look like this:

Re: Hockey Night in Toronto | The Toronto Maple Leafs
Leafs Triple-Up Canadiens on Opening Night
The Toronto Maple Leafs sent a clear message on opening night -- their here play, not be played.
Five first period goals lead to a 9-3 rout of the rival Montreal Canadiens, with notching a hat trick in the first game of the season to go along with two assists.
Montreal starter Carey Price got the hook in his first regular season game action at the end of the first period, when youngster Dustin Tokarski came out to start the second period in net.
Dion Phaneuf picked up four assists from the back end, and James Van Riemsdyk finished the contest with two goals and two assists. Rookie William Nylander, the team's first round pick from the recent draft, picked up his first career National Hockey League point with an assist on Nazem Kadri's second period goal.

Haha it was pretty lucky actually. The first three goals were all deflections, and the fourth one was great forechecking by Kessel and horrible passing by Montreal which lead to a turnover right in the slot. But overall, the cycle worked really well and I was able to find the right people open and it went to the back of the net
