Hey Gang,

Going to sim the season and get caught up to where the wings are. Will do updates at the end of every month simmed and then go back to game by game results.

Should be fun.

Excellent write-ups Viper. Very excited about your season, good luck.

What are your plans for Lidstrom at the end of the season?

WINGS CLINCH CENTRAL ON FINAL NIGHT OF SEASON!!

Detroit, Mi - The Detroit Redwings have clinched the Central Division Championship tonight after defeating the Chicago Blackhawks 5 - 2 at the United Center in Chicago. The Win gives Detroit the home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs starting on Tuesday Night.

Even better for the win outside of clinching the division championship and making to the play-offs for the 19th season in a row is the fact that they will not have to travel far in round one of the play-offs or look back at much game tape of their opponents because their first round opponents are the same team they beat tonight in the Chicago Blackhawks.

Head Coach Mike Babcock has stated that he will go with Goaltender Chris Osgood in Game 1 of the series at the Joe Louis Arena. Osgood has been the goaltender playing the last two weeks of the season in helping Detroit capture the Central Division Title.

The schedule for Round 1 of the Play-offs will go as follows:

WESTERN CONFERENCE QUARTER-FINALS

# 3 vs. #6

Game 1 - Tuesday, April 13th @ Detroit , 7:00 pm
Game 2 - Thursday, April 15th @ Detroit, 7:00 pm
Game 3 - Saturday, April 17th @ Chicago, 3:00 pm
Game 4 - Monday, April 19th @ Chicago, 8:00 pm
*Game 5 - Wednesday, April 21st @ Detroit, 7:00 pm
*Game 6 - Friday, April 23rd @ Chicago, 8:00pm
* Game 7 - Sunday, April 25th @ Detroit, 3:00 pm
* - Denotes If Necessary

FORMER WING HELPS HAWKS TO 1-0 SERIES LEAD!!

Detroit, Mi - Marion Hossa scored just 1:45 seconds into overtime to lift the Chicago Blackhawks to a 4-3 victory over the Detroit Redwings in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarter-Finals tonight at the Joe Louis Arena.

Detroit played the role of comeback kid all night long with Detroit never gaining the lead in this game at all. Detroit trailed 3-2 in the final minutes before before Henrik Zetterberg found the back of the net with just 00:45 seconds left to go in the third to tie the game at 3-3 and send it into overtime where Marion Hossa took a great pass across the ice in front of the goal and put it by Chris Osgood to give Chicago the 1-0 series lead.

The Redwings now prepair for game 2 of the series at the Joe Louis Arena on Thursday Night with the puck dropping at 7 pm.
